We aim to provide information, practical help and support to people living in Glastonbury and the surrounding area who have problems associated with accommodation, substance misuse, unemployment and their health as a result of these circumstances.
In our work we will seek to complement existing statutory and voluntary services already working in this field, and to provide positive support for self-help initiatives by our clients.

STOP PRESS - funding crisis at the RBT
It is with much regret that The Robert Barton Trust will be holding its last community café on Thursday February 28th 2008.The project will have a ‘shut down’ period during March, when project workers will be available between 11-1 Monday to Thursday. This time can be used by clients to collect post and be referred to relevant agencies who can help in the absence of the Trust.
We will continue to offer the free vet service on Monday 3rd March as well as courses already running which include organic gardening, and Photoshop.
The Robert Barton Trust acknowledges that the closure of services will impact on individuals as well as agencies, however thus far we have been unable to access sufficient funding to continue offering a service to the community.
We would like to thank all our service users and supporters who have stood by us over the past ten years and we hope that the community will continue to offer support to the marginalized people of the town.
