We try to accommodate some of the diverse training needs of our community and our service users by providing a variable range of free courses - funding permitting. We believe that this is an essential part of the work at the trust.
At the moment we have completed all of the training projects running at the trust the most recent have been:
• A project to produce this web site and train people in website design as well as other computer skills-funded by Defra’s Rural Action Plan (RAP)
• The Reaching up project – to raise women’s self esteem through creativity - funded by Defra’s Rural Action Plan (RAP)
• A series of free courses funded by the NLDC which give our service users and the wider community the chance to acquire some valuable skills which will give them more chance of securing a paid position within their chosen lifestyles, as well as some recreational courses.
Women on the reaching up project- especially proud of the novice singers who took to the stage at the Assembly rooms during the Solstice celebrations.
Please ring Angelique the Training and Skills project worker @ the Trust for any more information or to book on any of the courses.
