Young Persons' Project

Project Worker Kassie This project works with young homeless and traveller people, young people facing social exclusion and any one that feels they are need of support- age between 13 and 25 aiming to advocate, we offer information, advice and guidance on subjects including homelessness, housing, benefits, employment and many more.  We facilitate training and work on improving inclusion.

This support work including information, advice and guidance, advocacy and referrals is done through the open door drop in which happens twice weekly and through one on one appointment. We will also attend appointments with other agencies with young people to ensure they are getting the appropriate service and advice.

Inside the RBTOur work with young people is based on their terms; it can range from working with someone for only one day to working with them throughout the life of the project if that is what they need.

It focuses on traveller and homeless life and has useful information and guidance for people in the same situation.

This publication will be made available to other youth projects locally and nationally. The project aims to give the young people some positive focus and empower them. It will also give credit for their input.
In the future we will run other projects with similar aims and themes.
